Raymond Lovison, 91 of Centerville passed away, Saturday morning, January 19, 2019 at Wayne County Hospital in Corydon. Raymond was born to Pete and Lena (Barbaglia) Lovison on January 12, 1928 in Centerville. He received his education from Centerville High School, graduating in 1944.

Raymond was a veteran of the United States Navy Corp. , serving from 1946-1948. On June 30, 1956, Raymond was united in marriage to Nellie Marie Jackson.

To this union came two sons: Roger and Michael. Raymond was a farmer his entire life. He did work for Agricultural Services Company in Centerville, which later became MFA, Inc., where Raymond became a salesman.

He then changed jobs and became a seed salesman for Pioneer Hybrid Seed Company for 10 years. Raymond was a good neighbor, he enjoyed farming and enjoyed helping his fellow farmers in the area. Raymond placed a high priority on himself to provide for his family.

Survivors include his sons: Roger Lovison, Michael Lovison, sisters: Mary Owen, Natalie Zimmerman and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his wife Nellie on July 16, 2014 and his parents. Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Rev.

Bill Hubmann officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Elgin Cemetery in Mystic. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Thomas Funeral Home with the family present from 5-7 pm.
