Obituary for A. Vivian Geiger Lentz A. Vivian (Geiger) Lentz, 83, of Paintertown, passed away Saturday December 22, 2018, at home surrounded by family. She was born July 28, 1935 in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Daniel and Alice (Kunkle) Geiger and was also preceded in death by her husband David T. “Bill” Lentz Jr. and sisters Jerilyn Geiger Mahkovec and an infant sister. Vivian was a graduate of Penn Joint High School, Class of 1953 and member of Paintertown Evangelical Lutheran Church, The WELCA, and the former Paintertown Civic Club.
She was also, along with her late husband, charter members of the U.S.S. Delta AR9 Shipmates Association. She is survived by her children Georgia (Tim) Sager of Penn Township, Daniel D. (Sue) Lentz of Claridge, Ronald (Sandy) Lentz of Plum, and Theodore (Lori) Lentz and William Keith Lentz both of Penn Township; her grandchildren Jennifer, Rachel, and Gerald Sager, Tim, David, Josh, Kate, Adam, Abby, Nicole, and Brianna Lentz, and Malia Brisbine; also numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, 724-863-1200.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Paintertown Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1001 Government Rd. , Irwin, PA 15642, with Rev. Randy Marburger officiating.
Those attending the funeral please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides of Allegheny Health Network Homecare at Home, especially Alane and Jennifer, Home Instead Senior Care, and Harmony Home Care for all the loving compassionate care.
