Obituary for Aaron D. Gier AARON D. GIER, 36 of Wallace, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, west of Champion, NE as a result of an auto accident. Aaron was born May 16, 1982, at North Platte, Nebraska to Steve and Robin (Peck) Gier. He graduated from Wallace High School with the class of 2001.

Aaron went on to graduate from the auto body program at Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte. Aaron worked in concrete for a few years in Lincoln before returning to the Wallace area to work at Hasenauer Farms. Aaron was good-hearted and wanted to see everybody happy.

He always had a fondness for children, and when he was blessed with his son, Brayden, fatherhood added new significance to his life. Aaron had the type of personality that brought his family and everyone around him closer together. His sense of humor was known to draw smiles and laughter out of people.

Aaron also had a knack for fixing things, like the mowers of friends, or nearly anything that would appear on his sisters’ lists. Aaron was a bit of a good ol’ boy, he was a down to earth, kind, and hardworking man who loved and was proud of his son. He loved hunting and fishing whenever life gave him the chance.

Aaron was also an avid Husker and Pittsburg Steelers fan. While Aaron’s life was undoubtedly too short, his corner of the world is brighter and happier for having him. Aaron was preceded in death by his mother, Robin Gier; grandparents, Everett & Marie Gier, and Don Peck.

Survivors include his life long companion, Christine Zade and their son, Brayden Gier of Wallace; father, Steve (Linda) Gier of Wallace; 3 sisters, Terri (Zach) Davis of Prescott, AZ, Laura (Patrick) Haddix and Nicole (Marcus) Harvey, all of Kearney; his nieces and nephews, Hagan, Foster, and Decker Haddix; Halle and Henry Harvey; step-siblings, Rochelle Kirkwood of Cheyenne, WY, Amanda (Cory) Tinklin of Waverly, Alicia Rizzello of Mansfield, TX; grandmother, Lois Peck of Sutherland; along with many aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Aaron’s memory for later designation. Condolences may be shared at bullocklongfuneralhome.com.
