Obituary for Abraham Ray Garza Abraham Ray Garza, Abe as he was known to many of us, went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2018. He is survived by his loving mother Rosalinda (Rose) Galvez, his brother Kristopher Henry Puente, his nephews, Angel Miguel Alatorre, John Anthony Kaine Alatorre, and Zavier Mariano Mendoza, who all loved Abraham as a brother, and his nieces, Naveah Mayreli Alatorre, and Mia Venellope Puente. Abraham is greeted in heaven by his beloved sister, Elizabeth Mayra Mendoza, his horse Duke, and his English Bulldog Snookie, all of whom he loved dearly.

Abraham was born in San Antonio, Texas, and attended elementary and junior high in the Somerset Independent School District. He then transferred to the Northeast Independent School District where he graduated from McArthur High School in 2007. He continued his education at San Antonio College where he graduated from the Fire EMT Academy in December 2008.

He also attended Champions School of Real Estate where he received his license in 2016. Abraham has forged many lifelong friendships and has been a mentor and big brother to his siblings, which we referred to as the “Band of Brothers”. Abraham loved life, his family and friends.

Throughout his school years, Abraham participated in baseball, basketball and football and was a member of the Somerset Junior High Band as well as the McArthur High School Band. Abraham loved the outdoors, he enjoyed going to the river, the lakes, and the coast, and fishing with his friends. He was also exceptional at dove hunting and had a lifetime membership at Top Golf.

There are no words that can completely describe how much Abraham’s presence will be missed by his family. Abraham was smart, funny, loving, kind, generous, well mannered, and always a gentleman to the ladies. He also had a love for animals, and always longing for pets.

Abraham made a positive impact on every individual who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will continue to live on through us in our memories and hearts forever.
