Adam Pixley August 31, 1983 – December 20, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Adam James Pixley, age 35, of Pelican Rapids, MN died Thursday evening, December 20, 2018, at Essentia Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes. Adam was born August 31, 1983 to Jim and Karen Pixley in Fergus Falls, MN. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids.

Adam went to school in Pelican Rapids, graduating in 2002. He helped his dad do drywall in high school, and then he worked at several drywall companies until his death. Jim said Adam was as good a drywaller as he was.

Adam has a vast number of friends that can tell stories galore of hunting, fishing, and snowboarding, which usually resulted in a dislocated shoulder. For numerous years he enjoyed playing softball in the Erhard league and a good game of golf. He deeply loved his family and friends and he was drawn to kids, sitting with them for hours playing.

He would have made a great Dad! Adam’s final act was to give the gift of life through eye and tissue donation. Adam was deeply loved by all, and will be greatly missed always, but long remembered by great stories.

Hug your children today in his memory. He is survived by his parents, Jim and Karen; older sister, Sarah; Grandma Donna; Uncle Dale Pixley, Aunt Sue Nelson and her friend, Jim; Uncle Everett and Aunt Mary Johnson; along with several cousins, and many more friends who were like family; loyal dog, Ruger; and loving cat, Leo. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma Pixley, Grandpa Omer Johnson, Aunt Darlene Pixley and cousin Doug Pixley.

Visitation: Friday, December 28, 2018, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota with Pastor Allen Westby and Pastor Scott Block officiating. Please keep the Pixley and Johnson family in your thoughts and prayers.
