Addison Cain Webb Bowman “Cain”, age 62, of Safford, Arizona died September 12th, 2018 at home after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. He died peacefully wrapped in the arms of Jesus Christ and surrounded by his loving family. Cain was born July 9th, 1956 in Barton, NY to Addison L. & Elaine L. (Zimmer) Bowman.

Cain worked in the housekeeping dept. at Tyler Memorial Hospital in Tunkhannock, PA for 26 years. He also worked for Procter and Gamble’s Clean-it Crew at their Mehoopany, PA plant and as a security guard for Wells Fargo Security prior to moving to Arizona in 1999.

In Arizona he worked custodial for Santa Rita Nursing and Rehab Center in Green Valley before joining the Dept. of Public Safety as the head of the Custodial Dept. at the Tucson Sector.

He loved his jobs and was a hard worker. Cain loved people and helped wherever and whomever he could, volunteering for many years at Our Neighbor’s Food Pantry in Safford, along with his daughter Judy. He loved football passionately, especially his Oakland Raiders, Notre Dame and Penn State.

He had a passion for trains. He loved Pepsi and Pepsi memorabilia. He loved the outdoors and nature, along with hunting, fishing, skeet shooting, and camping.

He loved to travel and sightsee whenever he was able. He loved animals and always had at least one dog and one cat all his life. He leaves behind Feather and Colby (cats), Rusty and Peanut (dogs) his loved companions.

But above all he loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his Jewish ancestry, which he fully embraced, playing his beloved shofar for worship on Sunday mornings. He married the love of his life Debby E. (Walker) in 1988 celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary this year on February 14th; she survives him along with daughter July Elaine. Surviving siblings include 3 half-brothers, 1 half-sister in New York, step-sister Alice Evans of Montrose, PA.

Surviving him are his father and mother-in-law; Ken & Willie Sue Walker of Safford. Brothers-in-law Tim (Charlene) Walker of Tucson, Tom Early of Cochise, James (Daisy) Walker of Rushville, PA, Ken (Asa) Walker of Tucson. His closest and dearest friend Craig Mahoney of Forkston, PA and David & Peggy Alford whom he loved and considered a brother and sister and their daughter Hannah a niece.

Preceding him in death besides his parents are daughter Kendra, unborn son Jack, Mother-in-law Judy Walker, sister-in-law Kerry Early, 3 half-brothers, a step-brother and a step sister. Step-mother Marie. Also his great aunt and uncle by marriage Art and Joyce (Walker) Mimnaugh, whom he loved dearly.

A memorial service will be held at Safford Church of God 901 S. Central Ave in Safford, AZ on September 29th at 2:00 PM with a luncheon following. Pastor David R. Alford officiating. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
