Obituary for Adelia Ferrari Placido Adelia Ferrari Placido, 96, of Pittsfield, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in West Stockbridge on June 15, 1922 the daughter of Domenico and Maria Passetti Ferrari, she attended schools in West Stockbridge. Adelia worked as an Assembler at General Electric in Pittsfield, retiring on Jan.

1, 1985. She enjoyed traveling, watching birds especially humming birds and raising African violets, bingo and bowling. Adelia is survived by her two daughters, Barbara Walker and her husband Alan , Maryann Richer and her husband Bradford; six grandchildren, Mary Walker-Leighton, Alan, Joseph and Karen Maffuccio, Mark Richer, Marcy Bienvenue; five great grandchildren, Aiden, Libby and Ella Walker, Ava and, Gavin Maffuccio and Braden Bienvenue.

She is also survived by her two sisters, Clara Kiethler and Flora Cologiacomo. Adelia was predeceased by three sisters, Emma Placido, Gloria Stanisz and Norma Cimini and a brother, Antonio Ferrari. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Adelia F. Placido will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in West Stockbridge, celebrated by the Monsignor John Bonzagni, Pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. There will be an hour of visitation at the Dwyer Funeral Home on Saturday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield, MA 01201 in her memory.
