Adeline Marie Kohman September 24, 1928 – March 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Adeline Marie (Deis) Kohman, age 90, of Chaska, MN, died peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at her home. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019, 11:00 AM at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 4th and Oak Street, Chaska, with Pastor Greg Snow officiating. The visitation will be on Wednesday, March 13, 4 – 8 PM at the Bertas Funeral Home, 200 W. 3rd St., Chaska, and also one hour prior to the service at the church.

Prayer Service will be 7:30 PM on Wednesday. Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Chaska. Adeline was born September 24, 1928 in Waconia, MN, to Christ and Sophia (Wiedekuhr) Deis, one of 9 children.

She was baptized, confirmed and attended the parochial school at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Chaska. She graduated from Chaska High School in 1946. On November 10, 1956 she married Dale Kohman at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Chaska.

They had one daughter, Kristine. Adeline has been a lifetime resident of Chaska and member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was an active member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary, the Chaska, Carver County and Minnesota Historical Societies, and also the State Fair Foundation.

An active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, she was a member of the St. John’s Choir, the outreach and stewardship boards, the prayer ministry team and also a Sunday School teacher. She was employed as a secretary for National Tea, Northland Inc., Fingerhut and Rimage Corp. She loved sewing and crafts.

She was prececed in death by her husband, Dale (2006), parents, brothers and sister-in-law, Edward Deis, Erwin Deis, Elmer (Marion) Dies; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Alvin) Luedloff, Louise (Gerald) Peters, Edna (Buddy) Poppitz and Marie Deis. Survivors include her loving daughter, Kristine Kohman (special friend, Mike Petersen) of Chaska; sister, Sonja Deis of Chaska; sister-in-law, Mavis Deis of Shakopee; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
