OBITUARY Adolfo Severino Procopio January 8, 1931 – December 2, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Adolfo was 87 years old, a Burbank resident since 1970. Adolfo was a 35-year Disney Imagineer artist in the Sculpting Department. He was of Italian descent, born in Argentina.

He grew up in an orphanage after the early deaths of his parents during the 1930s Depression. His early fascination with sculpting was sparked by seeing religious statues in churches the orphanage took them to. After showing incredible artistic talent and studying the arts as a young man in Argentina, he immigrated to America with his wife and young son in 1964.

He went to work for the Walt Disney Company in the late 1960s and worked on many (many! ) attractions at Disneyland, Walt Disney World in Florida, Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris, bringing joy to people throughout the world. He was very well thought of, successful, hard working and loved during his career at Disney and also helped the development of many young artists.

Adolfo was married to a beautiful Italian/Irish woman named Lidia until her sudden death 40 years ago when she was 38 and he was 47. He never remarried. They became U.S. citizens before her death and Adolfo was very proud to be an American.

Adolfo has 2 children, son Ruben and daughter Vivian. Ruben was 16 and Vivian was 7 when their mother passed away. Adolfo became the sole parent to them and did an amazing job instilling traditional values in them and cultivating their talents.

The 3 of them are very close and protective of each other. Ruben and Vivian both attended St. Finbar School and Providence High School and both worked for many years at Disney. After Adolfo retired, he continued to pursue artistic projects and spend time with Vivian and Ruben.

He enjoyed life and was known for his generosity to others.
