Agnes Schaefer, 97, of Matawan, NJ, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 2 at the Madison Care Center, Matawan, NJ, with her loving family by her side. Agnes was a homemaker most of her life, she loved cooking and entertaining for guests. She was a devoted wife of late George J. P. Schaefer, loving mother of two children, grandmother and great grandmother.

She worked early on in her life for RCA and was an active member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of South Amboy. Agnes is survived by her children George Schaefer, III, of South Amboy, NJ and Barbara G Slovenz of Manahawkin, NJ; grandson George Schaefer, IV, and grand daughter Kristin A. Tocci. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Raritan Bay Funeral Service, 241 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the food pantry at the 1st Presbyterian Church of South Amboy. A memorial mass will be held at the 1st Presbyterian Church at a later date. Cremation is private.
