OBITUARY Alan Edward Archambault April 1, 1935 – January 5, 2019 Alan Edward Archambault, “The Dog Walker” of Mason, passed away after a brief illness, on January 5, 2019, at the age of 83. Alan was born in Saginaw, Michigan April 1, 1935. He served in the Air Force for 4 years after high school then spent 4 years at Michigan State University achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

He is survived by his loving wife, DeEtta, married for 56 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Linda Plyler (Dan); daughter, Julie Rizzardi (Jim) and son, Jon Archambault (Carol). He has 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Freed (Rocky) and son, Michael Webb (Zenaida). Alan became a loan officer at East Lansing Savings and Loan for many years. He eventually landed in Columbus, Ohio working for the Small Business Administration as a loan administrator from which he retired in 2001 and moved back to Michigan.

Alan loved his family and his family loved him so much. He was a wonderful husband, a great dad and fun grandpa! He was often found walking in downtown Mason with his beloved Shelties, Smokey and Cody.

He was known as “The Dog Walker” to those who didn’t know his name, but knew him and his ready smile. In his early years he loved to motorcycle, camp, and enjoyed retreating to Higgins Lake in the summer. He was also skilled at woodworking and made many projects.

He will be remembered as a friendly man who was always ready to talk, share a smile and encourage others. He will be greatly missed.
