OBITUARY Alan Raymond Hodgson May 4, 1948 – January 20, 2019 Alan Raymond Hodgson, 70, of Beaverton, passed away Jan. 20, 2019. He was born in Cheadle, England May 4, 1948.

Alan graduated from Jon Dalton College of Technology Manchester and received a Bachelor of Science in Math, Statistics and Computer Science. Alan immigrated to the United States in 1981. He met his wife Astrid Valencia Hodgson at the Los Angeles Times when they both worked there.

He married Astrid on December 18, 1988. Alan worked as an Information Technology Manager for Intel, Nike and OHSU. He co-founded Beaverton Youth Lacrosse and Lacrosse For All with his wife Astrid in 2002.

Alan had a passion for watching the Manchester United games, played lacrosse as a young child thru college, completed two marathons and was an avid runner, volunteered at the Oregon Food Bank and loved to spend time with his wife and adult children. He is survived by wife of 30 years, Astrid Hodgson; sons, Nathan and Jason Hodgson; daughter, Alice Dorsett; grandchildren, Isaac, Oscar and Jessica Dorsett; and siblings, Valerie Weakley and Ron Hodgson. A private Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb.

9, 2019, at Ponzi Vineyards in Sherwood.
