He is survived by his wife, Nancy Perkins Burkey; daughter, Choya Murphy; brother, Steve Burkey; grandchildren, Kyree Amos, Kamani Amos, Danyellie McCoy, Jorda McCoy, Rachel McCoy, Rebeka McCoy, Grant Flanders, and Riley Kate Flanders. A graveside service will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
