Albert Wingo, 87, went home to heaven on November 25, 2018. Al was a beloved figure known in the Senatobia area. He was born in West Virginia, lived in Atlanta, GA and moved to Senatobia in 1989.

Al retired from Delta Airlines in 1989 after working as Data Analysis Manager for 23 years. He served in the Air Force, Kiwanis Club President, Rotary President, member of the Tate Co Cattleman’s Association, Board of Directors for Sycamore Arts Council and Elder at Senatobia Presbyterian Church. Al was a member of the First Baptist Church of Senatobia, MS.

Al loved woodworking, reading and traveling. His greatest passion was working on his ranch raising black angus and riding on his tractor. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Al inspired all those around him and he will be greatly missed: he was a man among men. He is survived by Martha Taylor of Senatobia, MS, his sweetheart of 19 years; son, Tommy Wingo (Mel) of Sharpsburg, GA; grandson, Jason Wingo of Olive Branch, MS and sisters, Shirley Sergent and Rose Peterson of West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his wives, Phyliss Bays and Mary Thompson; son, Steve Wingo and sister, Betty Bird.
