Alberta “Berta”‘s Obituary St. Peter Funeral Home 906 N. Washington Ave. St. Peter, MN 56082 507-931-2750 Alberta “Berta” Clara Lanars, age 86, of St. Peter and formerly of Kasota, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter. Funeral Service will be at 12:00 p.m., Friday, February 8, 2019, at the First Presbyterian Church in Kasota.

Interment will be in Kasota Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at the church, prior to the service. Arrangements are with St. Peter Funeral Home-Klein Chapel.

Alberta was born on February 8, 1932 to Almond and Margaret (Lee) Leonard in St. Peter, MN. Alberta attended her first few years of school in Kasota, and later graduated from St. Peter High School. She was united in marriage to John Oscar Lanars on June 28, 1953 in Kasota.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, in Kasota, Kasota Park and Rec as well as the Kasota Fire Department Auxillary. Alberta enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her three children, Vicky (Bill) Domras of Kasota, MN, Kevin Lanars of Mankato, MN and Mark (Cindy) Lanars of Kasota, MN; five grandchildren, and eleven great- grandchildren; sister, Lois Lundberg of Cleveland, MN; sister-in-law, Melva Leonard of St. Peter, MN.

Alberta was preceded in death by her husband, John Lanars; parents; and brother, Curtis Leonard.
