He was born July 27, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Rudy Ybarra and Maria Alvarez. He was preceded in death by his Father.

He is survived by his mother Maria Alvarez; wife of 40 years Genoveva Alvarez; 1 daughter: Mary (O.T.) Reyna; 5 sons: Rene Alvarez, Carlos (Dina) Davila, Joe (Noelia) Davila, Asiano (Isabel) Davila, Luis (Gina) Alvarez; 1 sister: Connie Montoya; 16 grandchildren and 10 great children. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday March 31, 2019 at Dobie Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 10 am. Monday April 1, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Burial will follow in Descanso Eterno #2 Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Yaz Owen, Asiano Davila, Carlos Davila, Joe Davila, O.T. Reyna, and Julian Salazar.
