Alex Paparizos, age 90, of Willowick, passed away May 11, 2019. He was born in Nestorio, Greece, on October 20, 1928, to the late Leonidas and Androniki Paparizos. He was a generous and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Alex proudly owned and operated Alexander’s Restaurant in Euclid for over 25 years. He was passionate about providing hospitality and good food to his loyal customers. Alex is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, May Paparizos (nee Dufopoulos), children Peter Paparizos and Nikea (George) Stathopoulos, grandchildren Peter (Renee) Paparizos, Brittany (Larry) Marold, Andrea (Mark) Basista and Antony Stathopoulos and great-grandson Peter Alexander and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Christos, Pantelis, Andromahi and Demetra. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 4 to 8pm at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd. , Eastlake.

Trisagion service will be held at 7:30pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11am at Sts Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 3352 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland OH 44118. Followed by interment at Knollwood Cemetery, Mayfield Heights.
