Alfred Allen Giles died on November 2, 2018 from effects of a stroke at age 92. His time on earth began February 24, 1926 in Tabiona, Utah as the eldest son and second of eight children born to George Alfred and Grace G. Giles. On November 1, 1956 he married Gwen Fisher in the Idaho Falls Temple.

They made their home in Holladay, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and 3 brothers. Survivors include his wife Gwen; and their four children: William (Pat) Giles of Millcreek, UT; GraceAnn (Duane) Freston of Roosevelt, UT; Dan (Kelly) Giles; and Alayna (Shawn) of Salt Lake City, UT; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a brother Nolen (Alta) Giles of Tabiona, UT; two sisters Idawna G. Roberts of Fruitland, UT, Marvel G. (Myrthan) Defa of Salt Lake City, UT A viewing will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Holbrook Mortuary (3251 South 2300 East).

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 9, 2018 at the Holladay North Stake Center (4395 S. Albright Drive) at 11:00 AM with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 AM at the church. Interment at Holladay Memorial Estates, 4900 South Memory Lane.
