OBITUARY Alfred Monroe Dennis Jr. October 31, 1940 – December 30, 2018 Alfred Dennis Jr., 78, passed away on Dec. 30, 2018. He was born in Bradenton, Florida in 1940.

He received a football scholarship to the University of Virginia out of high school, and then decided to become a funeral director after college. He was a director at Griffith Cline then changed careers again to build homes in Manatee County. Alfred loved to fish and making things with his hands.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Joann and son, Todd. Survivors include, son, Troy and his wife Patty, Brother-in-law; Dave Dillard and numerous grand and great grandchildren. He will be laid to rest next to his, wife, son and parents at Groover Funeral Home at Mansion Memorial Park.
