ALICE L. YOST June 20, 1918 – Sept. 1, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mom. Mom attributed her long life to her happy childhood and wonderful parents, Vernon and Vivian Lancaster.

Mom was well known for her wonderful cooking, especially dessert. Her blueberry-peach pie is legendary. She was also an accomplished hair stylist, having won many awards and trophies.

Possessing a green thumb, she could grow any kind of flower. Roses, African violets, and orchids were her favorites. She was also a wonderful dancer.

Mom and Dad spent many happy hours on the dance floor. She also loved playing the organ with her grandchildren. Mom also had a great sense of humor.

She so loved her many friends, especially her neighbor Mary Evans. Mom was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by her children Diana and Alan, by her grandchildren Kimberly, Logan and Hannah, her great grandson Braxton and her son-in-law Bruce.

Special thanks to Timber Ridge and Hospice. No services were held, as Mom wanted to live in the outside world. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Humboldt.
