Alice Louise (Mutch) Schulz was born December 23rd 1928 to Ed and Alma Mutch in Winnebago, MN. Alice was raised on a farm and attended school in a one room school house through 8th grade prior to attending Fairmont High School. While at the one room school house, she befriended her teacher who she remained in contact with over the years.

Alice’s most memorable jobs were working with newborn babies as a nursing assistant, at the jewelry store in Fairmont, and the Christian Bookstore in Hopkins. Alice met William “Bill” Schulz over a chance encounter in the produce department at Red Owl Grocery Store. Their paths crossed a few more times and the rest as they say is history!

Alice wed Bill in a small ceremony at the Congregational Church in Fairmont, Mn on January 29, 1950. They went on to have 3 children Jeff, Tim and Pam and settled in Hopkins, MN. Hopkins truly became home as they built many lasting relationships and friendships.

Alice’s family grew by a son-in-law David, daughter-in-law Malia, 4 grandchildren Sam, Alicia (and husband Dan), Tim, and Shawn and 3 great-grandsons Jack, Roman, and Liam with a great-granddaughter Charlee on the way. Alice was known for her kind and loving heart, beautiful smile, love of puzzles, word searches, and the Timberwolves, making the best chocolate chip cookies, playing a mean game of cards and truly was the heart of her family. Alice died peacefully on September 14th 2018.

She is now reunited with her parents, brother Roger, son Tim, husband Bill and all those who have gone before her. She was steadfast with her faith and we know she is resting peacefully in the arms of the Lord. www.
