Alice Mildred Perry Messer, of Fort Collins, Colorado and formerly of Woodstock, Vermont passed away on January 30, 2019 at New Mercer assisted living. She lived a healthy life in her home until the age of 98. Alice was born November 7, 1920 to Seth Perry and Laura Ransom Perry and was raised in South Pomfret, Vermont.

She attended High School, lived and worked in Woodstock at Cabot’s store and the Woodstock National Bank. She married Raymond Ernest Messer on December 5, 1941. In 1975, she and Raymond moved to Fort Collins to be near family.

Alice was a gentle, strong and caring person with an exemplary work ethic who loved her family! As a young woman she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and gardening. She was very content with the simple things in life.

She will be sadly missed by family and friends alike. Alice was predeceased by siblings and her husband Raymond Messer. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Messer Hartman (Wes); two grandchildren, Allison Rae Garcia (Jason) and Travis Justin Hartman (Erin); and three great-grandchildren.
