Obituary for Mrs. Alicia O. Mendez It is with great sadness that the family of Alicia O. Mendez announces her passing on Friday, November 23, 2018. Alicia Olivarez Mendez, 67, was born on December 25, 1950 in Camargo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to parents Enrique and Alicia Olivarez. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ana, Leticia, Ramon, Lisa, Juan; stepchildren, Rudy, Rosa, and Mary; 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Alicia will be forever remembered by her brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Juan Mendez; mother, Alicia; and father, Enrique; brother, Mario; and twin sister, Pita. Alicia loved cooking, shopping, dancing, and playing loteria and bingo, she will be remembered for her caring nature, helping as many people as she could.
A visitation will be held on Sunday November 25, 2018 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home, a rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. A visitation will also take place on Monday November 26, 2018 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 12:00pm at San Jacinto Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
