OBITUARY Allen Norman Krejci January 5, 1936 – November 4, 2018 Allen Norman Krejci was born January 5, 1936 at the Krejci family homestead at Oak Grove, to Albert and Bessie Krejci. On November 4, 2018 at the age of 82, Allen entered into his eternal rest. He passed peacefully at his home with his family at his side, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Allen married Beatrice Craig Krejci on May 30, 1982 at the St. Pius Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas. Together they have four children. After graduation from Moulton High School in Moulton, Texas, Allen attended the University of Texas in Austin, Texas.
He then attended Victoria Junior College in Victoria, Texas. Allen was a Barber for 40 years. He was also a Carrier for the United States Postal Service for 15 years, after which he retired and continued working as a Farmer and Rancher.
Allen was a member of the Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church of Shiner, Texas. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he served as a Grand Knight. Allen was also a member of the Men’s Choir and the St. Cecilia Choir at the SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner.
Allen is survived by his wife of 36 years, Beatrice; children Blake Craig (Kimberly); Monica Cubberly (Jay); Angela Nystel (Joe); and Paul Krejci (Cathy). He is survived by six grandchildren; Cierra Craig, Devin Hill (Hunter), Courtney Krejci, Haley Cubberly, Kiera Cubberly and Duncan Nystel; and one great-grandchild, Colby Zbikowski. Allen is also survived by a sister, Sidonia Mayer of Moulton; sister and brother-in-law Emily and Paul Bordovsky of Karnes City; brother and sister-in-law Albert Krejci, Jr and Lisa of Moulton; sister, Margie Kocian of Hallettsville, and sister-in-laws, Patsy Masek of Praha and Edna Migl of Cistern, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Allen was preceded in death by his grandson, Colby Craig; parents, Albert and Bessie Krejci; sisters and brothers in-law, Mildred and Joe D. Janak; George Mayer Sr., Henry Migl; Ernest & Olga Janek and Helen Stanzel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7th at 4-7pm with Rosary to follow at 7pm at the Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1pm on Thursday, November 8th at SS Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Shiner.
Reverend Bryan Heyer will be officiating the service. Burial to follow at the Shiner Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Pall bearers are Knights of Columbus members: Patrick Pesek, Bob Bartel, A.J. Cerny, Fred Couvillion, Pat Klozik and Gene Cerny.
Honorary pall bearers are Allen’s grandchildren and all of his coffee drinking buddies at Friday’s Fried Chicken. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Renovation of the Shiner Catholic Convent or the renovation of SS Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.
