Obituary for Mr. Allen Patrick Darman NEW HARTFORD- Allen Patrick Darman, age 66, passed away on November 26, 2018. Allen was a graduate of New Hartford High School, served in the US Army, the Merchant Marines, and built a house in Steuben, NY. He was formerly the President of Darman Manufacturing Co., Inc, which is being perpetuated as 4th generation by Maxwell.

Allen was a sweet, gentle spirit, full of enthusiasm for his many pursuits. He was a giver – always willing to help anyone who needed his time. He loved playing chess and contract bridge, scuba diving, Sherlock Holmes mysteries, and music of all genres, especially “the boss” Bruce Springsteen.

Allen cared deeply about our physical planet and the mental well-being of its people. We wish him well on his next journey. At one time, he was married to Pamela Darman.

Allen leaves his two beloved sons, William Darman, and Maxwell Darman and fiancée Breanna Kalies; as well as his six siblings, Stephen (Susan), Joe, Laurie, Elaine, Leslie (Bill), and Walter Darman; many nieces, nephews, especially Ben Miller, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins; and Aunt Marion Zizzi. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Marion Darman, as well as two nephews, Nathan Blehar, and Joshua Darman. Services were privately held.
