Obituary for Alma Stanley Strader Alma Stanley Strader, 83, of 1968 Oregon Hill Road, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, July 9, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt.

Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home on Sunday, July 8th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Alma was born in Rockingham County to the late Will Stanley and Annie Murphy Land.

She worked with Burlington Industries until they closed and then worked at NC DMV before retiring. She was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church in Pelham. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her half brothers, Jack and Jimmy Stanley and Larry Land.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Zack “Sonny” Strader; and half brother, Doug Stanley; special nephew, Doug Isley and special niece, Pam McDaniel.
