Mrs. Alma V. Bertrand Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Plaisance, LA, for Mrs. Alma V. Bertrand, 95, who entered eternal rest, Saturday, May 4, 2019 at her residence in Plaisance, LA. Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Father Taj V. Glodd will officiate at the Mass of Christian burial.

Mrs. Bertrand is survived by three sons, Clifford J. Bertrand (Linda) of Opelousas, LA, Mitchell W. Bertrand (Cheryl) of Opelousas, LA and Michael J. Bertrand (Jeanette) of San Antonio, TX; three daughters, Josephine Thomas of Opelousas, LA, Barbara Richard (Zack) of Lake Charles, LA and Carol Walker of Houston, TX; two sisters, Harriet Valmont and Juanita Blackwell both of Opelousas, LA; eighteen grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mrs. Bertrand was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Bertrand; a son, Anthony Bertrand; parents, Paul & Lena Valmont; eight sisters and three brothers. Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, May 11, 2019 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
