Alta’s Obituary Graveside services for Alta May Hook, 82, will be held 10am Monday, February 25, 2019 at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Leland Kamimoku officiating. There will be a family visitation from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Brownfield Funeral Home May passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in Terry County. She was born to Noah Ralph and Elizabeth Pauline (Jeter) Butcher on July 17, 1936 in Terry County.

May married Clayton Elvis Hook on August 9, 1954 in Brownfield. May is a lifetime resident of Terry County. She loved her garden and flowers.

May was an avid collector of toys, M&Ms, Coke and just about everything else. She is preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Elizabeth Butcher, daughter, Leta Hook, and four sisters and one brother. Alta is survived by her husband C.E. Hook of Brownfield; three children, Bobby Hook and wife Deborah of Brownfield, Joey Hook and wife, Dayna Clift of Brownfield, Rita Walser and husband, Byron of Brownfield; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Fay Howell and Betty Jeter.
