Obituary for Mr. Alvin Stanley Swanson Age 98 of Mpls, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 18, 2018. He is preceded in death by his wife,Lainey; brothers, Raymond and Richard. Alvin is survived by his 3 children; 5 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was very creative with his hands, loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. Always athletic, he downhill skied into his late 70’s an d was still golfing a month before he died. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to NC Little Hospice, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation and Presbyterian Homes Summer House.

Service will be held Saturday, July 21 at 4:00 PM with visitation 1 hour prior at the Nokomis Park Chapel, 1838 E. Minnehaha Parkway, Mpls, MN 55407.
