Our loving father, Amos Howard Gagon, age 89, or Roosevelt, passed away peacefully at his home on December 31, 2018 of natural causes. Born to Irvin Ira and Lola “Virvel” Ferguson Gagon, in Ft. Duchesne on June 17, 1929.

Amos married Flora Jean Thompson, on April 11, 1952 they had 6 wonderful children. They later divorced after 25 years. Amos then married Bobbie Jean Norris Hansen on August 23, 1985, she died July 15, 2018.

They enjoyed 33 blissful years of marriage. Amos served 37 years in military service. He served in both the Army and the Air force.

He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He was a true angel to his family and everyone he came in contact with. Amos was a loving and devoted father, brother, son and husband.

He is survived by his children; Karen (Jim) Markey, Diane (Tom) Hollingsworth, Sherry (Jim) Schnurr, Destry (Crystal) Gagon, Bruce Gagon, stepchildren; Donna (Ken) Huntington, Leslye (Craig) Johnson, Brent (Ranee) Hansen, grandchildren, Jeremy Jaramillo, Brandon (Kristy) Jaramillo, Zan Gagon, Jenny (Steve) Salter, Natalie Kendall, Michelle (Mike) Doughty, Anthony (Courtney) Miller, Roxanne (Johnny) Stebbing, Jake Pettibone, Shay Ogden, Davis Westenskow, Jason Westenskow, Marty Jo Hansen, Monica Hansen (Branden Ball) Alicia (Trey) Hansen, Rex (Linsie) Johnson, Casey (Erin) Johnson, and numerous great-grandchildren that he adored. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Bobbie Gagon, brothers, Dale & Gene Gagon, daughter, Kathy Miller, stepson, Bruce Hansen, grandchildren, Chariti LaRose, Chantel Westenskow, Joshua Hansen and Marty Iverson. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Roosevelt 2nd and 11th Ward Chapel, 200 North 300 West.

Burial will be on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lindquist Memorial Park in Layton.
