Obituary of Amos Rager, Sr. Amos L. “Toby” Rager, Sr., age 80, of Lincoln Borough, died January 19, 2019. He was born in Fairmont, WV on January 26, 1938 and is the son of the late Frank and Mildred Keener Rager. He was the sole proprietor of A and R metal since 1978.

He was a member of the Greater Works Church in Monroeville and the Western Pennsylvania Contest Riders. He loved to ride horses and his famous line to say was “Whip and Ride”. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Roberta Winemiller Rager; children, Amos L. (Tina) Rager, Jr. of Jeannette; Sherry (Timothy) Matthews of Rostraver Township; all of his favorite grandchildren, Frankie (Alicia) Rager of Jeannette; Amos “Toby” (Rachel) Rager III of Ruffsdale, PA ; Michele (Robbie) McQuaide of Fredericksburg, PA; Lisa (Kandyce) Siegel of Grapeville, PA; Raymond (Amber) Matthews of Pittsburgh; Charlie (Ashley) Matthews of Belle Vernon; Mandy (Chad) Rapp of Baldwin; great-grandchildren, Xander; Julian; Timothy; Evelyn; Greyson; Izaac; Brody; Mia; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Lily Ann and brothers William and Francis “Tip” Rager. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday January 22, 2019 from 2 pm until 7 pm at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412-678-6177). Services will be held on Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 10 am in the funeral home chapel with his nephew, Pastor William Franklin Rager, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery.
