OBITUARY Andrew Rachel November 3, 1959 – November 22, 2018 Andrew (Andrzej) Rachel, 59, of Farmington, beloved husband of Elizabeth (Maliszewski) Rachel, died Thursday November 22, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Andrew was born on November 3, 1959 and raised in Gorlice, Poland. He spent time living in Italy before moving to New Britain in 1987.

Andrew married the love of his life, Elizabeth (Elzbieta), in 1988 and together they raised three wonderful children. He enjoyed his job as a CNC Operator at Paradigm Precision and had worked at the company since 1991. Andrew had a strong passion for travel and adventure which was inspired by his time living in Italy.

He loved home-cooked meals and watching Patriots football games with his sons. Andrew was a man of strong Catholic faith and regularly attended church services at Sacred Heart Church in New Britain. Along with his wife, Andrew is survived by his son David and wife Rebecca, daughter Sylvia, his mother, Joanna (Wacek) Rachel, sister Grace (Rachel) Wojtusiak and husband Richard, brother Krzysztof Rachel and wife Sylvia, brother Mieczyslaw Rachel, and brothers-in-law Witold Maliszewski and wife Wienia, Jan Maliszewski and wife Alina, and many nieces and nephews in America and Poland.

He is predeceased by his son, Danny Rachel, and his father, Julian Rachel. Andrew also wished to express his love to his many friends in Poland and America. Calling hours will be on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 10:AM at the funeral home followed by the funeral liturgy at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 158 Broad Street, New Britain.
