Angie’s Obituary Age 71. Born in Detroit on September 5, 1947, Angie passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13 at Angela Hospice, Livonia. She was surrounded by family and friends during her final days.

Angie was the dear daughter of Walter Koziara, Sr., and Anna (nee Pilat), both of whom predeceased her. Dear sister of Walter Jr. (Maureen), Richard (Carole), Mary Ann Wilson (David Mayes) and David (Michele). Dearest lifelong friend of Shirley (Ed) Zabczynski.

Also survived by eight nieces and nephews, as well as twelve great-nieces and great-nephews. Angie was a graduate of The University of Michigan and took great pride in being a teacher. She was also a very talented dancer in her childhood years.

The Koziara family will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday, March 17th, from 4-8 pm, with a 7 pm rosary. Angie’s funeral mass will be celebrated Monday morning, March 18th, at 9:30 am (in state at 9 am) at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 23615 Power Rd. , Farmington.

Fr. Mark Brauer will preside. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Detroit.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Angela Hospice, Livonia, Our Lady of Sorrows’ Saints for Tomorrow Fund, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
