Angie Marie Carpenter Roper entered into the hands of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the age of 79. Angie was born on May 12, 1939 in Mexia, Texas to H.L. Carpenter and Thelma Demas. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and will be missed by all who loved and cherished her friendship.

She was a woman with many commitments, including her beloved fashion shows that she is very well known for. She is preceded in passing by her parents; husband, Leroy Roper Sr., and her son, Michael Troy Roper. She leaves behind her loving sons, Charles Roper and Leroy Roper Jr., nieces, nephews and sister-in-law, all of her friends and church community.

Visitation will begin at 11:30am with a Funeral Service at 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 4601 Maxwell. Committal Service will follow at 2:30pm at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
