Anita D. Hamilton of Grand Blanc, Michigan September 17, 1952 – December 27, 2018 HAMILTON, Mrs. Anita D.-age 66, of Grand Blanc, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Briarwood AFC, Mt Morris. Funeral services will be held 12:00pm Saturday, January 5, 2019 with an 11:00am family hour at Jackson Memorial Temple C.O.G.I.C. 3155 W. Carpenter Rd, Flint, MI 48505. Bishop J. Drew Sheard officiating.

Calling hours are 12:00pm until 6:00pm Friday, January 4, 2019 with family present from 4:00pm – 6:00pm at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel 3021 S. Dort Hwy. , Flint, MI 48507. The final resting place for Mrs. Hamilton will be Sunset Hills Association, Flint, MI.

Anita Doreene Hamilton was born September 17, 1952 in Alvarado, Texas, to Curtis Shelton and Edna A. Bolds. She graduated from Southwestern High School in Flint, MI. She attended Mott Community College and shortly afterwards she became an employee at General Motors where she worked for 36 years.

She then happily retired in 2008. She was a life long member of Jackson Memorial Temple COGIC (Pilgrim Temple). She met and married Dwight Hamilton and from this union 2 children were born; Shannon T. Hamilton and Shayla T. Hamilton.

Anita enjoyed reading, going to the movies, dining out, spending time with her children and fur grand puppies Onyx and Jedi, spoiling and helping meet the needs of her family especially her nieces and nephews, going on vacations, she loved to travel to Chicago and Texas, and buying Coach purses for the family. Most of all she devoted much of her time and energy in taking care of her parents. Ms. Hamilton is survived by: her daughters, Shannon T. Hamilton, Fort Worth, TX and Shayla T. Hamilton; mother, Edna A. Bolds; sister, Cassandra “Sandy” (Eld.

Freddie L.) Brown Jr.; brother, DeWayne K. (Shantale) Bolds, Atlanta, GA; God-sister, Sandra Blue; nieces and nephews, Freddie L. Brown III “Redd”, Keshona Dixon, DeNasia J. Bolds, Langston H. Bolds and Morgan D. Blue; special cousins Carolyn S. Burt and Dolly Richardson; special friends, Elaine R. Lee, Rashidah Aquil and Sandi (Leon) Blackmon of Sandi’s Elegant Catering. She is preceded in death by her fathers, Curtis Shelton and Harold F. Bolds and sister Angeleque C. Marshall; also special great-aunt Thelma Washington “Big Mama”. The family would like to express special thanks to: Birchwood Meadows, Bishop J. Drew Sheard and the Jackson Memorial Temple Church Family.
