Anita’s Obituary Funeral services for Anita Mae Wile, 84-year-old Oakwood, OK resident, will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at 3:00 PM at Oakwood Christian Church with David Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas. Anita was born on March 9, 1924, to Charles Andrew and Martha (Taylor) Knight in Stroud, Oklahoma, and passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

Anita was raised and attended school in Stroud, Elk City, and Oakwood, Oklahoma, graduating from Oakwood High School with the Class of 1941. On November 14, 1942, she married Harry J. Wile in Watonga, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Oakwood where they lived south of town. She worked as a Deputy Assessor and Clerk for the Dewey County Abstract Office.

Anita enjoyed Thunder basketball, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while attending their activities and traveling. Anita is survived by one son, Harry Wayne Wile and his wife Janelle of Oakwood; one daughter, Margaret Morris and husband Roy Lee of Taloga; one sister, Dona Daniels of Talihina; seven grandchildren, Marci Miller, Jodi Crowdis, Laci Hart, Brandi Whitacre, James Wile, Shannon Wile, and Stephanie Edmondson; and nineteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Cloyd, Charles, and Eddie; four sisters, Blanche, Beth, Lavelle, and Nona; and one gradson, Anthony Andrew Wile.
