of North Providence, passed away Wednesday November 28th, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by her loving family and dearest friends. Ann Marie was the beloved wife of Michael Scampoli for 36 years. Born in Providence, she leaves behind her brother Benjamin “Benjie” Cusano and his wife Suzanne and was the daughter of the late Aldo and Teresa (Salvatore) Cusano.

In addition to her husband and brother, Ann Marie is survived by four adoring children, daughter Marissa, son Michael and his wife Cassandra, daughter Michaela, daughter Mia, and one nephew, Edward Scampoli, Jr She also leaves behind two treasured grandchildren, Mason and Luca, and her dear sister-in-law and friend Catherine Scampoli. Ann Marie’s greatest joy in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother.

When she wasn’t chasing around her little grandsons, Ann Marie enjoyed cooking and especially loved her pets. Those closest to Ann Marie fondly remember her sense of humor and quick wit. She truly had a heart of gold and a giving spirit.

Ann Marie courageously battled breast cancer twice in her life, and her children would describe her as the bravest person they have ever known. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday, December 4th, at 9:45am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Augustine’s Church, 639 Mount Pleasant Avenue, Providence at 11am. Burial will be at St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston.

VISITING HOURS are Monday from 4pm to 8pm in the Nardolillo Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Dr. Mary Ann Fenton and the entire team at the Lifespan Cancer Institute of Rhode Island Hospital for the phenomenal care Ann Marie received.
