Ann Markowitz, 80, of Bradford, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at UPMC Hamot, Erie. She was born on July 2, 1938 and she was adopted from the Louise Wise Manhattan Orphanage when she was two and half years old by the late Irving and Rose D. Marks Markowitz. She was a graduate of Marietta College, Marietta, OH.

Ann worked at her Mother’s Kiddy Shop on Main Street and later at the Pine Acres Country Club, Fairway Ford and finally as a greeter at Walmart. She… Read More » is a member of Temple Beth El. She was a past member of the Penn Hills and Pine Acres golf courses.

Ann had no family of her own but considered her friends to be her family. At her request private services will be held at the convenience of her friends Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery next to her parents. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to Temple Beth El, 144 Clarence St., Bradford, PA 16701 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
