Anna Kowalik May 19, 1950 – December 20, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Anna Kowalik, 68, of Amsterdam, New York passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Germany on May 19, 1950 a daughter of Nikolai and Michalina Dolik Panasiuk. She came to Amsterdam, New York at age 2 and resided here since.

She was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School – Class of 1968. For many years she was employed by Quad Graphics in Saratoga Springs, New York. Anna was also a Switchboard Operator at St. Mary’s Hospital in Amsterdam, New York before retiring in 2013.

Anna was a member of St. Stanislaus Church. She is survived by her daughters Lisa (David) Kolpakas, Galway, New York, Kimberly Nikolaus, Johnstown, New York and Christie (Jeremie) Duma, Amsterdam, New York; five grandchildren Brianna Prusky, Kianna Prusky, Amber Kolpakas, Eric Geiseler and Brian Nikolaus; two great grandchildren Kayden and Rhyah Nikolaus; brother Frank (Camille) Panasiuk and additional siblings; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and by her sister, Maria.

A prayer service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, New York followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, Cornell Street with Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis, Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to GAVAC, P.O. Box 11, Amsterdam, NY 12010. Please submit on-line condolences at www.
