She was born to Fred and Elsie Overshiner in Fairmount, Indiana. Anna Lee grew up on several farms in the area and graduated from Fairmount H.S. in1940.

After two years at Ball State University, she met and married Lionel C Ravenscroft at Delco Remy in Anderson, Indiana. They soon had a son, John, and daughter, Nancy. Lionel passed at an early age in 1954.

Anna Lee worked in various school positions to make ends meet. In 1961 Anna Lee-married G.E Ebbertt, Anderson School Superintendent and they attended many school functions in the USA and abroad. After his death she married Philip Ravenscroft, Lionel’s brother.

Phil was a retired research chemist with Amoco and Stanford Research Institute. After many years in Indiana, Anna Lee moved to Montereau in Tulsa in 2008 to be near her son and daughter-in-law. However, she was always a Hoosier at heart and was a big basketball fan.

She was loved by friends and family for her caring sacrifices and her sense of humor. Over her life time she experienced many things. Anna Lee was a long-time member of Eastern Star, First United Methodist Church of Anderson, Civic Women’s Club, Madison County Republicans Club, Lady Elks, and others.

She was a real space enthusiast – saw the Wright brothers as a small girl on an Indiana farm, met John Glenn, first USA spaceman, and now one of her grandsons is partly responsible for satellite positioning at Boeing. Quite a feat for a simple farm girl. When asked by a door-to-door politician if there was anything, he could do for her she replied that her cabinet hinges needed repair.

After he oiled them and was leaving, she asked to what Party he belonged. As he replied Republican, she said “well I would have voted for you anyway”. That was Mom.

Anna Lee was preceded in death by her daughter (Nancy), sister (Donna), brother (Verle), parents, and husbands. She is survived by her son, John, and daughter-in-law, Karen, of Tulsa. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Marion, of Springfield.

MO and brother-in-law, also Lionel, of Indianapolis, IN. In addition, she has seven step children and six direct grandchildren: Karen, Kevin, Julie, Jason, Todd, and Daniel. Finally, she is survived by 21 direct great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Anna Lee’s life at the Montereau chapel on Monday, January 14 at 2:00 P.M. Later this spring at a yet to be determined time and date a memorial service will be held at Rozelle Funeral Home in Anderson, Indiana.
