Anna Smith June 05, 1925 – December 19, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Danville – Anna Smith, 93, of 190 Murphy Rd. , passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. Born in Atlas on June 5, 1925, she was the daughter of John and Anna (Wesloski) Hopey.

She graduated from Locust Gap High School. On November 21, 1948 in Saints Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, she married the late Charles E. Smith Jr She was a housewife but also worked as a seamstress at a dress facility in Riverside.

She was a lifetime member of SS Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church. Anna is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Clark and her husband George of NC, and Sandy Wolff and her husband John of TX; two sons, Charlie Smith of Danville, and Wally Smith of Danville; two grandsons, Matthew Clark of TX, and Thomas Wolff of TX; one granddaughter, Elizabeth Wolff of TX; two great-grandsons, Camden Clark of ID and Christopher Clark of ID; one great-granddaughter, Evolet Clark of CA; one sister, Eleanor Blake of NY; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Gloria Jean Smith; a brother, Walter Hopey and his wife Lillian; five sisters, Catherine Yoka and her husband Jerome, Mary Perski and her husband Henry, Olga Urbanovich and her husband John, Anastasia Hopey, and Mildred Horwath and her husband John; and one brother-in-law, Stanley Blake.

FUNERAL NOTICE Anna Smith, 93, of 190 Murphy Rd, Danville – Divine Liturgy will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00 am in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 North Beech Street, Mount Carmel with Very Reverend Archpriest Michael Hutsko, officiating. Burial will be in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Mount Carmel Twp. Viewing will be held Saturday morning from 9:30 until the time of service in SS Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 131 North Beech Street, Mount Carmel.

Arrangements are being cared for by C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 27 North Vine Street, Mount Carmel, C.J. Lucas IV, Supervisor.
