Annabelle’s Obituary Annabelle R. Lanie, 94, of Benton County, passed away at 2:42 PM, Monday May 27, 2019 at Green Hill Manor of Fowler. She was born August 29, 1924 in Fowler to the late Meddie and Dulcine (Lanoue) Deno. Her marriage was to Leo Lanie on February 16, 1944 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fowler; he preceded her in death on February 15, 2017.

Annabelle was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kentland. Annabelle retired from Better Coil of Goodland. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, cooking, canning, and embroidery.

She loved time spent with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are children, Ann (Robert) Hardebeck of West Lafayette, Karen Robinson of Lady Lake, FL, Linda (William) Weise of West Lafayette, Colleen (Richard) Spivey of Chapel Hill, TN, Leon Lanie (Kathy Lanie) of West Lafayette, and Donald Lanie of Fowler. Sister, Fern Ince of MN, and sister-in-law, Velda Deno of Fowler.

Annabelle is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband are 2 sisters, 1 brother, 1 step-brother, step-mother, Odevie Deno, and a son, Ronald. Private family services will be held at a later date.
