OBITUARY Anne Belle Burkhart February 14, 1926 – December 14, 2018 Anna Belle Burkhart passed away on December 14, 2018. Anna Belle was born to Thomas and Gala Mae Tidmore in Mabank, TX on February 14, 1926. She graduated from Falfurrias High School, Edinburg Jr. College and the University of Texas.

When she was 19, Anna Belle went on a blind date with Edgar Burkhart and married him 11 months later. He was truly the love of her life, even after his death in 1981. Anna Belle and Edgar were loving parents to 2 daughters, Marsha Dillahunty and Karen Angelini.

Anna Belle touched many young lives as a school teacher in Corpus Christi, San Antonio and Austin. For many years she taught at the Texas School for the Deaf. Anna Belle lived a life of service, especially in her church.

She was a life-long Methodist, serving as a Sunday School Teacher, youth leader, United Methodist Women leader, and an active member on many church committees. For a number of years she volunteered at her church, Faith United Methodist, as an Alzheimer’s respite caregiver. Anna Belle loved her family and especially enjoyed spending holidays and special occasions with her family.

She had a kind, loving and gentle spirit, and she was a wonderful and supportive Nonnie to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Anna Belle is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Thomas Tidmore and her sister, Mary Jacque Tidmore. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Marsha Dillahunty (Earnest) and Karen Angelini; her grandchildren, Teri Suchil (Camilo), Betsy Smith (Lucky), Joseph Angelini and Molly Angelini; her great grandchildren, David Smith, Ashley Smith, Andrew Suchil, Kyle Suchil and Mia Calvillo, and a number of cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Oak Hill United Methodist Church 7815 Highway 290 West, Austin, TX 78736. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please donate to Hearts for Homes (826 East McKinney St. Denton, TX 76209), their website heartsforhomes.org or their phone number 940-891-0947.
