Michael Swierz officiating for Anne D. Kali age 94, of Hubbard who passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. Anne was born December 8, 1924 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Andrew & Anne Demchak Drozda.

She was a 1943 graduate of Campbell High School and a 1946 graduate of St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. Anne was a registered nurse for 45 years working at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Youngstown Receiving Hospital, and was the first visiting nurse in Hubbard and Hubbard Township with the Visiting Nurses Association. She was a genuine person who always put others before herself.

She loved being with her family, and enjoyed cooking, baking, and feeding the birds in her yard. She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband Stephen E. Kali whom she married September 19, 1948; her children Christine Skriner of Quakertown, PA. , Elaine (Michael) Graban of Hubbard, Cynthia Mayle of West Middle, Pa.

, Richard S. (Tina) Kali of Hubbard, and nine grandchildren Charles (Suwan) Skriner, Laura (Brian) Chu, Daniel (Michelle) Graban, Suzanne (Stefan) Gatt, Robert (Jennifer) Mayle, Brandon (Terri) Mayle, Katherine Kali, Audrey Kali, Andrew Kali, and three great-grandsons, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers John, Michael, and Steve, her sister Mary, and sons-in-law Terry Mayle, and Dale Skriner, There will be calling hours prior to the Mass on Wednesday December 26, 2018 from 10 AM to 11:15 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Anne’s memory to St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church 225 N. Main Street Hubbard, Ohio 44425 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN.

38105. Anne will be laid to rest at Hubbard Union Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Stewart-Kyle Funeral Home.
