OBITUARY Anne Ferrell March 12, 1921 – November 5, 2018 Anne was a long time resident of Mobile, after spending her childhood years in Stockton, Alabama among her beloved family and friends. She attended elementary school in Stockton and graduated from Baldwin County High School and Troy University. Anne was employed by U.S. Air Force Medical Corps at Brookley Field Air Force Base in Mobile and later served as secretary to the Chief of Operations in the Mobile office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stanley C. Ferrell, and her two brothers, Eugene Crosby Thomley and William Britt Thomley. She is survived by her sons, Stanley C. (Leida) Ferrell, Jr. and the Rev. Timothy W. (Kimbrough) Ferrell, grandson, Stanley C. Ferrell, III, a great grand daughter, Sadie Jane Ferrell, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Anne was a long time member of the Government Street Presbyterian Church where she served as both Deacon and Elder and was actively involved in the life of the church. She was presented the Presbyterian Women’s Honorary Life membership for her years of dedicated service. Services will be on Thursday, November 8.

A graveside ceremony at the Stockton Memorial Cemetery will be conducted at 10:30 by the Rev. Sid Leake. A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at Government Street Presbyterian Church at 2:00, officiated by the Rev.

Paul Phillips. The family will receive visitors in the church parlor one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Government Street Presbyterian Church (300 Government Street, Mobile, AL 36602) or the Stockton Memorial Cemetery (c/o Ben Bailey.
