Mrs. Rebecca Anne Sprayberry Williams ‘Mama Anne’, age 89 of Social Circle, died Wednesday, May 8, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Marshall Williams; parents, Morris and Elsie Sprayberry; daughter, Becky Chappell; and sister, Carolyn Kay Sprayberry. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Marsha Anne and B.W. Jones, Terri and Steve Mayo; son and daughter-in-law, Ted and Jenay Williams; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Brazier, Jean Kelly, Dot and Jimmy Kincaid; brother and sister-in-law, Sonny and Paula Sprayberry.

Mrs. Williams was retired from Mathis Dairy. She was a member of First Christian Church Stockbridge and formerly of Mount Carmel Christian Church. She was a sports fanatic and loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She enjoyed playing basketball, bowled until she was 82 years of age and participated in a Rook Club. She also enjoyed sewing. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Rev.

Paul Leslie officiating; interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Friday, May 10, 2019 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those desiring may make donations to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure www.
