Billerica– Anne Y. Kozakiewicz, 96, formerly of Griswold, CT passed away in Billerica, MA on Oct 5, 2018. She was previously married to Benjamin Kozakiewicz and is the daughter of the late Marya (Yurechko) and Phillip Akamenko. She was born on Dec 5, 1921 and enjoyed her childhood in Brooklyn, NY.

She was proud to have served her country within World War II as a Navy W.A.V.E. She enjoyed traveling and reading and was very proud of her Russian heritage.

Anne is survived by her children Victor Kozakiewicz and Marianne Lucas. She is predeceased by her brother Joe Akemenko. The Gagne Piechowski Funeral Home 490 Voluntown Road Jewett City, CT has been entrusted with the private arrangements.
