Obituary for Annemarie Remy Annemarie Remy, long-time resident of both New York City and Philadelphia, died Wednesday, August 22nd while vacationing in her birth place of Haiti. Annemarie was Born April 3, 1943 in Chantal Okay, Haiti, to the late Joseph and late Astefy. She is predeceased by her husband, Francois Fleurime, and her sister Prisa Remy.

Annemarie was a commerce entrepreneur and skilled botanist for most of her life. Upon her retirement, she became an avid traveler of the Caribbeans. Annemarie was an active member of New Creature Evangelical Church in Philadelphia.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. Annemarie is survived by her loving daughters Francine and Nancy (Pierre), two adoring grandchildren, Osage and Omar (who brought great joy to her later years); her brother Estache Remy; and many nieces and nephews. “She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future”.
