Annie Maude Westbrook, of Wilmington, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, May 24, 2018. She was 78. Annie was born January 24, 1940 in Americus, Georgia, to the late, John & Gertrude (Johnson) Westbrook.

She had worked as a Certified Nurses Aide for the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill in Smyrna for over 20 years before retiring. In her free time she enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Antoinette Worthey, and a brother, William Westbrook; and 3 sisters, Ada Mae Rivers, Nina Anderson and Marie Breedlove.

She leaves to cherish her memory 6 children, Phillip L. Worthey, of Connecticut; Gail M. Worthey, of Dover; Robert L. Worthey, of Marydel, MD. ; Anthony C. Worthey, of East Berlin, Wisconsin; Penny Baynard, of Cambridge, MD; and Michelle P. Westbrook, of Dover; her sister, Lula Mae Griffin, of Rochester, N.Y.; her brothers, James Westbrook, of Oxen Hill, MD, and Ulysses Westbrook, of Rochester, N.Y.; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, June 2, 2018; in the Powerhouse Ministries, 115 E. Glenwood Ave.

Smyrna, DE ; where family and friends may view 1 hour before. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery, Marydel, MD. Condolences may be sent via: www.
