Obituary of Annie Atkins Annie Ruth Brewer Atkins, age 61, of Troy, passed away Sunday December 30, 2018 at Carolinas Health Systems, Albemarle, NC. Mrs. Atkins was born September 28, 1957 in Moore County, the daughter of the late William Earnest Brewer and the late Mae Belle Auman Brewer. Ruth was a homemaker who grew up on the farm where she enjoyed gardening and cooking.

She loved her family, keeping her grandchildren and was full of laughter. She is survived by her husband: Roy Atkins of the home; three daughters: Carrie Atkins Dickerson (Josh) of Troy, NC, Cathy Atkins of Cary, NC and Dianne Slagle (Wayne Saunders) of Biscoe, NC; four grandchildren; one brother and one sister. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 11:30 – 12:45pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC, with the Dr. Bruce Dickerson officiating. Burial will be private.
